Bad Boy Becomes Mean Man.

Just like his song ‘’Not All Bad” says, Justin Bieber is a caring person that’s been making a lot of mistakes. Justin started his singing career in 2009 when he released a popular single on iTunes after being barely recognized on YouTube. Now 19, Bieber has unsatisfactory behavior. A lot of fans are disappointed in him because he continues to let them down.

On March 5th, Bieber was extremely disappointing. He enraged fans when he showed up two hours late for a concert. At his next concert on March 7th, he passed out during the show and was forced to go to medical services where he posted a string of shirtless “selfies” on Instagram. Not only did he show up late to one concert, he left early at the next.

After the first few singles Justin released, he set high expectations that he has failed to match this past year. Because of the songs he produced at 16, a majority of his “Beliebers” are young – elementary school aged. This is why his songs’ meanings can be too grown up for his fans. I have heard an eight year old singing a song he is featured in called “Lolly”. This song has an inappropriate meaning that the 4th grader did not understand. Unfortunately, the adults in the room understood and did not appreciate the lyrics on a Sunday morning. Justin used to sing about how he would be polite to girls. In “Lolly” he is disrespectful and disgusting while he demeans women.

Justin regrets words he spoke just like any other person. When you are in the public eye you have to be more careful. Another example of Bieber being rude is when he has been quoted saying “Are you from Hawaii, because you look like a beached whale” to a perfectly fit woman while she was sunbathing. He needs to be more thoughtful. What is she was a fan? She would be more offended having an idol tell her that that an ordinary person. He also used the N word in his song, “Breakup Song”.

Along with displeasing song lyrics,  Justin Bieber has become a poor example. He would not want to see his fans smoking marijuana and drinking excessively but we all know about leading by example. Justin is rude and takes advantage of his fame. Grabbing a fan’s breast in a meet and greet picture is a perfect example what he is exposing his self as. He even took advantage of his fame by making his staff carry him up the Great Wall of China.

Just like his speech skills, Bieber has poor driving habits. The young star has gotten complaints from angry neighbors. While he tries to show off in his cars, he crashes them and is caught speeding. When he came back to California from his concert in Poland he was automatically in trouble with the police. He got in a small fight with a neighbor who said that he was threatened and hit by Bieber, says different television programs, magazines, TMZ or Entertainment Weekly.

Although Justin is college aged and it’s common for people his age to misbehave, he has young fans looking up to him. I would enjoy if we could see the old Bieber more than we do.  Hopefully Justin Drew Bieber will gain his reputation back, stop getting into trouble and just enjoy music with the passion he used to show in his work.

Is Today’s Music Too Much?

Music has evolved with history. Let’s just say that you don’t usually hear classical and disco songs much these days. But what is considered “music” today can be a little much. Remember when you could hear a person’s voice when they sang? When instruments weren’t replaced by a soundboard? Unfortunately, things are taking a turn for the worst, and quality music may soon become history.

I understand that everyone has a different taste in music. I get that. But in my opinion, you should at least be able to tell if an artist has talent. Today, anyone could sound like a pro with auto-tune and a techno beat. So many singers do just that. They record a song, and let auto-tune do the rest of the work. Come on people, it’s called singing for a reason. A singer should sing, and not let music producers sit behind their computers and crank out songs.

Luckily, there is still hope for the future in music. Believe it or not, there are some artists out there who aren’t all about the techno auto-tune. Imagine that! I like to believe that these artists are making a comeback in the music business. A few examples are “The Lumineers”, “Mumford and Sons”, “Fun.”, and several others. As far as I am concerned, my music shouldn’t sound like microphone feedback, an old computer starting up, or give me a headache. Dubstep, I’m looking at you. If this music “craze” continues, they should at least make a new music genre for auto-tune. That way, I know what music is real and what is not. Sure, I’ll admit it. I’ve listened to the techno songs. Some are catchy, but gosh I bet they killed a few brain cells.

A Language Like No Other.

Music notes make up a complex language that is fluent to most musicians. To be honest, although I play piano, I cannot read sheet music, but am currently learning. I took this picture of the sheet music for “Hedwig’s Theme” … Continue reading

Passion Pit was created the Variety Slanguage Dictionary and is reffered to drive-in theatres because of their privacy and romantic allure for teenagers. Passion Pit signed to the record Label Frenchkiss in 2008.

Passion Pit has released the albums Gossamer, Manners, The Reeling and To Kingdom Come. ‘Take A Walk’ was released as their new single for Gossamer and was written about family financial struggles. The song was not intended to be political, which could be mistaken from the line ‘damn taxes’.
The music video was directed by David Wilson and was taken in Philadelphia. In the music video the perspective is from a blue ball bouncing all over town using helicam technology.

Coldplay..The Best Band Since Ever

urlChris Martin, Will Champion, Guy Berryman, and Jonny Buckland form one of the best bands in the history of music. Ever heard of Coldplay? Coldplay is an alternative rock band from Britain. They have created some of the best music in the business.

All music from this band is written by the members. The lyrics are catchy and the music is memorable. Every song has its own unique sound. I can’t name every one of Coldplay’s songs, but whenever I hear them I easily recognize their style. The band was formed in 1996, and is still  going strong.

There are so many fantastic songs by Coldplay that it is hard to pick out the best ones. However, the following are some of my favorites:

1. The Scientist
2. Clocks
3. Viva La Vida
4. Fix you
5. Yellow
6. Princess of China
7. Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall

If you’re not familiar with these songs, I highly recommend checking them out on iTunes or watch the music videos on Youtube. I guarantee you will like at least one of them. I’ve liked Coldplay ever since I was a little kid, and I think everyone should give their music a chance. With more than seventy songs, you won’t run out of material quickly!

I See Sparks Fly..

Taylor Swift’s Speak Now World Tour was a must-see for her fans. She has come an extremely long way from her old home in Nashville and has become popular worldwide. Her music reaches out to girls of any age, for it can help them through tough times. The Speak Now album is basically her diary set to music and shows that she’s just like any ordinary girl. This concert went beyond everybody’s expectations and left a lasting impression in their minds.
On June 25, 2011, I made the trip to Gillette Stadium with a few of my friends. After waiting for what seemed like forever, the lights went dark and the smoke rose. The music started and Taylor came out in her gold dress and cowboy boots. She began to sing “Sparks Fly”, and over 25,000 people screamed at the top of their lungs. After everybody had gotten over the shock and excitement, she proceeded to introduce herself. She continued to sing her most popular songs then made her way over to a mini stage out in the crowd. As she sang “with you I’d dance in a storm in my best dress, fearless”, it started to downpour. The timing was so perfect that it was like they had planned it. Everybody feared she would take cover inside, but she continued on and danced with us in a storm, in her best dress, fearless.

Flying over the crowd in a balcony, Taylor finished the concert with “Love Story” while confetti dropped to the ground. She wasn’t the only part of this concert that was amazing. The set was perfect for her personality and music style and she also had outstanding back up singers and dancers. Everything came together to form the perfect concert that told the story of Taylor Swift. This performance had the fans “wonderstruck”; it left them expecting her next album to be even more breathtaking.
