Coldplay..The Best Band Since Ever

urlChris Martin, Will Champion, Guy Berryman, and Jonny Buckland form one of the best bands in the history of music. Ever heard of Coldplay? Coldplay is an alternative rock band from Britain. They have created some of the best music in the business.

All music from this band is written by the members. The lyrics are catchy and the music is memorable. Every song has its own unique sound. I can’t name every one of Coldplay’s songs, but whenever I hear them I easily recognize their style. The band was formed in 1996, and is still  going strong.

There are so many fantastic songs by Coldplay that it is hard to pick out the best ones. However, the following are some of my favorites:

1. The Scientist
2. Clocks
3. Viva La Vida
4. Fix you
5. Yellow
6. Princess of China
7. Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall

If you’re not familiar with these songs, I highly recommend checking them out on iTunes or watch the music videos on Youtube. I guarantee you will like at least one of them. I’ve liked Coldplay ever since I was a little kid, and I think everyone should give their music a chance. With more than seventy songs, you won’t run out of material quickly!

Child Cancer Fighters Make Inspirational Video to “Stronger” by Kelly Clarkson

The children, staff, and parents at the Seattle Children’s Hospital’s hematology oncology unit are showing the world that “what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.”  Many children at the SCH are battling cancer, but they want to show everyone that they are going to fight it.  To show everyone they can battle, they made a music video to Kelly Clarkson’s hit song called “Stronger”. Not only is “Stronger” inspirational, but it was ranked in the Top 10 songs of the BillBoard within its first two weeks out. By picking a very popular song for their music video, many people have viewed it.

Twenty-two year old Chris Rumble was diagnosed with leukemia, yet he refuses to give up.  He was the one who came up with the idea to make a video with some of the patients and staff. He was originally going to send the video to his friends, but realized that the video would be a great inspiration. Chris said: “One of the best parts of the video was seeing the kids do something that made them happy, and also seeing their parents happy since their child was enjoying themselves through a difficult time.” Chris knows that he has brought smiles to many people, and that is a great feeling to have.

Kelly Clarkson thought the video was great; she couldn’t wait to visit them. Kelly herself posted on Twitter: “Oh my goodness y’all have to see this! It’s beautiful! I can’t wait to visit these kids and nurses!” The kids and staff that made this video impacted whoever watched it in some way. On Twitter another watcher wrote: “Definitely made me cry. The song could not be more fitting for these people! Loved it.” This video was a tear-jerker to many. These children have learned that they can still have fun even in such rough times. Chris Rumble’s idea was an inspiration and hope to everyone.
