The Herbert Hoover Presidential Library and Museum in West Branch, IA is one of 13 presidential Libraries in the United Staes of America. Herbert Hoover being the oldest of presidents to have a library. It was original opened in 1962 while Herbert Hoover was in his late 80’s. Herbert Hoover was the 31st president of the United States. The Library is very small and details the life and memories of a forgotten president. The library chronicles his life from birth to death and everything in between it. Herbert hoover was blamed for the great depression because he did not help the U.S. stock market before the crash. The Library is also a research place for people to come and find out more about the president. The museum hold many singed artifacts and pieces of clothing that he wore as president of the U.S. At the end of the tour you can go outside to Herbert and Lou Hoovers final resting place. It is a very peaceful area to remember the president. The museum is open all week 9-5 and also is gives private tours. Also if you are in the town you can visit Herbert Hoovers birthplace at his house.
