The NBA today is filled with many superstars. There is always controversy on who are the best all around players in the league. I am going to tell you who I think are the top ten players in the NBA of the 2012-2013 season.

10. Tony Parker

Tony Parker has been scoring well consistently every game and this is why his team, the Spurs, has one of the best records in the NBA. Without Parker on the Spurs they wouldn’t have the record they have today. I don’t think he is better than Curry because of his lack of 3-point ability.

9. Steph Curry

Steph Curry is a great young player who has a huge amount of potential to be a star if he already is not one. He is the best 3-point shooter in the whole league in my opinion. In one game he had eleven 3-pointers and had fifty-four points. I think he will be the best player in the league in a couple years.

8. Dwyane Wade

Dwyane Wade is really a sidekick to the great LeBron James. He is averaging 21.7 points per game and can take over a game if you are not watching him. He is leading his team to a 27th straight win and on to break the record of 33 straight wins done by the  71-72 Lakers. He also has so good dance moves if you watched the Miami Heat Harlem Shake video on Youtube.

7. Chris Paul

Chris Paul For the Los Angeles Clippers has done well this season. They call the Clippers Lob City because of their amazing alley-oops and dunks and most of those passes come from Chris Paul. Chris is first in steals averaging 2.41 a game. He is a great assister averaging 9.5 per game second in the league. He also is averaging 16.4 points per game this season.

6. James Harden

James Harden is one of the best scorers and shooters in the league. He is pretty much single handedly bringing the Rockets go to the playoffs. Harden is one of the youngest players in the league and is already on the top of the scoring chart. I believe he will have a great, long career.

5. Russell Westbrook

I say Russell turns the ball over too much, especially for a point guard, but he is still 7th in assist averaging 7.5 per game and he is 6th in scoring averaging 23.3 points per game. Something very unusual about Westbrook is he has never missed one game in his NBA, College, and High school careers. That is just amazing to me how you can play that many consecutive games.

4. Carmelo Anthony

Melo is a very great mid-range and deep ball shooter. He is also a clutch shooter so if you need a last second shot for the win he is a good guy to shoot it. I would like to see him driving to the hoop more, but do anything you can do to get the ball in the hoop. He is averaging 27.6 points per game this year second in the league.

3. Kobe Bryant

I believe Kobe is one of the best players ever to play basketball. He is 34 years old which is pretty old in basketball and he plays like he is 24. Every game this season he goes out on the court and guards the young guards in the league at age 34 and still manages to average twenty-seven points per game.

2. Kevin Durant

Durant is a very slim 6’10 small forward, but can really play any position on the court. He leads the league averaging 28.3 points per game and also leads the league with a .906 free throw percentage. he plays the second most minutes in the league averaging 38.7 minutes per game. Durant is a great all-around player who should win a couple rings some day.

1. LeBron James

This was a very obvious decision to me to put LeBron at the one spot. He is the greatest all-around player in the league. He can also play any position and play it better than most people. He is fourth in the league for scoring averaging 26.7 points per game and is leading his team the Miami Heat to a huge win streak of 27 straight wins. LeBron could score a lot more points if he wanted to, but he loves to share the ball thats why he is eighth in assists averaging 7.4 per game thats the best average for a player who isn’t a point guard. He is averaging 1.73 steals per game which is tenth in the league. LeBron has a field goal percentage of .557 which is ninth in the league. Not many guards in the NBA get a lot of double-doubles but LeBron does he has 37 this season which is seventh in the league.
