To be honest there is only two people in the race for the coveted regular season NBA MVP award, Lebron James and Kevin Durant. Each are having amazing seasons in their own rights, and it will be a tough decision to decide who wins. Lebron is the ultimate all around player, but Durant is the best scorer and clutch player in the league.

Lebron James plays for the Miami Heat, who are the best team in the east. Lebron is currently averaging 27.3 points, 8.1 rebounds and 7.3 assists per game and making 57% of his field goals. He also had a historic stretch this season where he averaged 30 points a game for six games on 60% shooting. This was the first time in NBA history that anyone has done this.

Kevin Durant is on the Oklahoma City Thunder, who has one of the best records in the league. He is currently averaging 28.6 points, 7.7 rebounds and 4.6 assists per game and making 51% of his field goals. Kevin is also a member of the 50-40-90 club, which means he averages 50% from the field, 40% from three and 90% from the free throw line. He is among legends in this club like Larry Bird and Steve Nash.

These both players, whoever gets the award, deserves it. Both Kevin Durant and Lebron James are deserving of the MVP award.
